Redgate Smithy B&B

Redgate Smithy B&BWe are situated above the beautiful Golitha Falls on the River Fowey, on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor in South East Cornwall. Our local village is St.Cleer, near Liskeard, and we are very close to Siblyback Lake, the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site at Minions, and there are excellent walking, riding, hacking, and fishing facilities locally. The area abounds with nineteenth century industrial archaeology; including the extensive mining remains up on the moor, the Wheal Victoria Copper Mine down by Golitha Falls, and the remains of the fascinating Liskeard and Caradon Railway, that linked the heights of Bodmin Moor with Looe on the coast. The very pretty Looe Valley Line still runs from Liskeard to Looe, down the East Looe river valley.
