The Lost Gardens of Heligan
A visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan on a misty February day can be as rewarding as any other day in Spring or Summer! The Jungle, as it is called, is a captivating board-walk down a steep valley, filled with ponds, tree ferns, and giant rhubarb. With the mists of February, it is more Jurassic than Jungle!
For more information about this fascinating place, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan website.
At the start of the Jungle walk...
...and the Jurassic feel grows!
One of the board-walks crossing a pond...
...and a friendly little Heligan robin that followed us all the way round!
Out of the Jungle, and back up through the Woodland Walk...
...and past the Heligan Earth Sculptures...
If only, if only, if only, all Potting Sheds were like this!
But tidy Potting Sheds do bear fruits...
